How are glass bottles produced and manufactured?

Glass bottles are the main packaging containers for food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. They have good chemical stability; easy to seal, good gas tightness, transparent, can be observed from the outside of the contents; good storage performance; smooth surface, easy to sterilize and sterilize; beautiful shape, colorful decoration; have a certain mechanical strength, can withstand the pressure inside the bottle and the external force during transportation; wide distribution of raw materials, low prices and other advantages. So, do you know how the glass bottle is manufactured and produced?

Glass bottle production process mainly includes: ① raw materials pre-processing. Block raw materials (quartz sand, soda ash, limestone, feldspar, etc.) will be crushed, so that wet raw materials dry, iron-containing raw materials for iron removal treatment to ensure the quality of glass. ②Mix preparation. ③Melting. Glass with materials in the pool kiln or pool furnace for high temperature (1550 ~ 1600 degrees) heating, so that the formation of uniform, bubble-free, and meet the requirements of forming liquid glass. ④Molding. The liquid glass is put into the mold to make the required shape of glass products, such as flat plates, various vessels, etc. ⑤ Heat treatment. Through annealing, quenching and other processes to clean up or produce the internal stress of the glass, phase separation or crystallization, and change the structural state of the glass.

First of all, we have to design and determine and manufacture the mold. The glass raw material is made of quartz sand as the main raw material, plus other auxiliary materials dissolved into liquid state under high temperature, then injected into the mold, cooled, cut and tempered, it forms the glass bottle. The glass bottle usually has a rigid logo, and the logo is also made from the shape of the mold. Glass bottle forming according to the production method can be divided into three kinds of manual blowing, mechanical blowing and extrusion molding.
